The CCL 13mm Enclosed Spring-Loaded Grip (SLA-Type) is a precision-engineered anchor designed for active prestressing applications using 13mm diameter 7-wire strand. The enclosed housing, internal spring and capped body provide rapid installation, reliable strand retention and consistent load transfer under stressing.
This grip is available in two options:
Grip-Only – enclosed body with cap, spring and O-ring (no wedge)
Complete Assembly – grip body pre-assembled and pre-lubricated with wedge, spring, cap and O-ring
The enclosed design is commonly used at the non-stressing end of prestressing beds, where quick fitting and secure wedge retention are essential. The internal spring ensures the strand remains positively engaged, even when jacks do not feature power lock-off or when detensioning multi-strand beds.
Enclosed grips help to minimise pull-in losses and speed up bed preparation. Because they contain several internal components, they require slightly more careful cleaning and handling than open-type grips, but provide highly dependable performance in everyday precast operations.

The 13mm enclosed grip uses CCL wedge 604204, which is compatible with the following strand sizes:

Usage Notes
Ensure strand is cut square and free of deformation
For complete assemblies, no lubrication or assembly is required – ready to use immediately
