Description

The CCL Wire SLA Barrel is a precision-machined, enclosed prestressing anchorage component designed for use with 3–7mm diameter prestressing wire and the appropriate CCL wire wedge.

The enclosed spring-loaded design supports secure wedge retention and consistent wire engagement during setup and detensioning. When correctly assembled, the barrel and wedge provide controlled seating, reliable grip and effective load transfer.

Wire SLA grips are typically used at the non-stressing end of prestressing beds. The internal tapered profile supports correct wedge seating, while the enclosed body helps retain and protect the internal components.

CCL barrels are manufactured in the UK under controlled conditions to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish and repeatable performance across high-volume production environments.

This product is supplied as an SLA barrel only. Compatible wedges, springs, caps and O-rings are available separately.

Compatibility

Compatible with the following prestressing wire sizes when used with the correct CCL wedge:

  • Ø3mm prestressing wire

  • Ø4mm prestressing wire

  • Ø5mm prestressing wire

  • Ø6mm prestressing wire

  • Ø7mm prestressing wire

Check suitability against the actual wire diameter, grade and wedge used.

(Note: Customers using non-standard wire should contact CCL for confirmation of compatibility.)
