Description

The CCL XL3 Open Barrel is a precision-machined prestressing anchorage component designed for use with 15mm diameter 7-wire prestressing strand and a compatible CCL XL3 wedge.

The open design allows the wedge to be fitted and removed easily, supporting fast installation, inspection, cleaning and maintenance. When correctly assembled, the barrel and wedge provide consistent grip, controlled seating and reliable load transfer during stressing and detensioning operations.

The barrel is typically used at the stressing end of prestressing beds with a suitable stressing jack. Its internal tapered profile supports correct wedge seating while helping to minimise strand slip and pull-in losses.

CCL barrels are manufactured in the UK under controlled conditions to maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish and repeatable performance across high-volume production environments.

This product is supplied as an open barrel only. The compatible wedge and O-ring are available separately.
